Workday/Schoolnight is the solo side project of Invisible's Bart Trotman. Combining the minimal stylings of late 70s, early 80s analog-synth-punk with a plethora of thrift store tape samples (answering machine messages, self-help, random weirdness), Trotman brings energy and creativity to the stage. His latest release "Plastic Ocean" is a journey with one man's malaise for the state of the world as he digs through numerous thrift store tape bins in search of truths that may or may not quell his despondency. Drawing on influences such as Negativland and Kraftwerk, Workday/Schoolnight brings you a futuristic sound from the recent past. Handle with care.
