Greasy Joan is the musical project of Lee Shaw. Shaw is a multi talented instrumentalist who's been recording for quite some time now, playing each instrument himself working in the guitar, bass, drums vein of good old Rock N' Roll. Shaw writes songs that remind you of what radio rock could have been, had music continued along the lines of Big Star and Blue Oyster Cult. While traveling as a student in Buenos Aires, Aregntina Lee recorded his debut self-titled full length. The album covered a range of topics, from your standard breakup songs, to 3 minute pop tunes about Kim Jung Il and science fiction movies. After moving to Chapel Hill, NC Lee joined the band Embarrassing Fruits. While playing bass in the Fruits and recording on his own, Shaw crafted his sophomore album, entitled Charity. He still resides in Chapel Hill and now plays in the band Vannevar.
