JOE NORKUS



Joe Norkus has been recording at home on various borrowed 4-tracks & on the computer since 2002. He has played in a number of NC bands, including (but not limited to) Straight No Chaser, Westfalia, Mortar & Pestle, and Embarrassing Fruits. His first solo record came out on Trekky Records in the Fall of 2002. After moving to Greensboro, NC to attend art school he continued to record at home, releasing Livin' In The Wrong Times in May 2007 on Sufficient Records, a label started by him and roommate Grey Johnson. After moving to Richmond, VA, Norkus has continued to record, occasionally performing live when he can find friends who are interested in playing with him. Other records he has made include, Covers (2008) and Digital Hiss EP (May 2009), a Halloween-themed album, Hollerin' Haints (Oct 2009), and his latest release, Park Ave.
